SYMPTOM/CONDITION:
Some customers may experience an ETC light illumination. Upon further investigation the technician may find that DTCs P2122 – Accelerator Pedal Position Sensor 1 Circuit Low and/or P2127 – Accelerator Pedal Position Sensor 2 Circuit Low have been set. This condition could be caused by the wiring to the APP sensor being held too tight, causing the wiring to become loose resulting in the ETC light illumination.
DIAGNOSIS:
Using a Scan Tool (wiTECHTM or StarMOBILE) with the appropriate Diagnostic Procedures available in TechCONNECT, verify the adjustable pedal system is functioning as designed. If DTCs are present other than the ones listed above, record them on the repair order and repair as necessary before proceeding further with this bulletin.
If the above condition is present, perform the Repair Procedure.
REPAIR PROCEDURE:

1. Gain access to the APP sensor (Figure 1).

2. Locate the push pin wire harness clip next to the APP sensor (Figure 1).

3. Using a pry tool, remove the push pin clip.
