We are excited to announce that 2006 marks the 125th birthday of Kendall Motor Oil! In 1881, the Kendall Refining Company opened for business, and has evolved into the premier lubricants brand that we all know and love today. We plan to celebrate this milestone all year long, and we thought it would be fun to uncover interesting events and trivia from 1881.

• 1881 was the only year that three men served as president of the United States. Rutherford Birchard Hayes finished his four-year term on March 3, 1881. The following day, President James Abram Garfield was sworn in as 20th President of the United States.
