ALLDATA Partners With Carfax To Boost Shop Revenues

Alldata-logoALLDATA LLC, an AutoZone company and provider of manufacturers’ automotive repair information and solutions for the professional automotive service and collision repair industries, has teamed up with Carfax to offer a new benefit that helps increase customer loyalty and revenue, according to the company. Users of the ALLDATA Manage Online shop management system can now easily enroll in the free myCarfax Service Shop program. Each participating location has access to tools that connect them with millions of vehicle owners and help keep their customers’ cars well-maintained.

Carfax QuickVIN and Carfax Service History Check are two of the most popular tools available to ALLDATA Manage Online shops enrolled in the myCarfax Service Shops program. Carfax QuickVIN uses a vehicle’s license plate to instantly provide the 17-digit vehicle identification number and associated vehicle details, which helps shops reduce both cycle time and parts-ordering errors through increased accuracy. Carfax Service History Check is powered by more than 3.5 billion service transactions reported to Carfax, so service advisers can make better maintenance recommendations and find opportunities to increase the average repair order price.

“We’re constantly working to enhance ALLDATA Manage Online, which was developed with our partner MAM Software, to help our customers simplify and streamline their businesses,” said Mitch Major, president of ALLDATA LLC. “A no-cost solution like the myCarfax Service Shop program is a great additional benefit for our users, to allow them to leverage the confidence people have in the Carfax brand and promote the expert work of their technicians to millions of vehicle owners. We expect that Manage Online customers who participate will see significant returns and further increase their shops’ efficiency.”

The myCarfax Service Shop program makes it easier to build customer loyalty by helping people better understand their vehicle’s service needs. Using the free myCarfax app, vehicle owners can track their service history and get reminders sent to their mobile device when it’s time for their next scheduled service at their preferred myCarfax Service shop. Participating myCarfax Service shops also get a free listing in the myCarfax app that helps people find local shops to have their vehicles serviced.

“ALLDATA is renowned for its exceptional solutions that help thousands of service shops perform at their very best,” said Vern Poyner, general manager at Carfax. “This is a win-win partnership that puts the customer first. Vehicle owners across North America will be thrilled that their favorite shops using ALLDATA Manage Online are part of the myCarfax Service Shop family.”

More than 35,000 dealer and aftermarket service locations are myCarfax Service shops, including many ALLDATA Manage Online users.
