Fiat: Front End Noise In Cold Temperatures

The customer may experience a noise from the front of the vehicle while going over bumps. The noise may be more noticeable in colder temperatures.

SYMPTOM/CONDITION

The customer may experience a noise from the front of the vehicle while going over bumps. The noise may be more noticeable in colder temperatures.

DIAGNOSIS

If the customer describes the symptom, perform the repair procedure.

REPAIR PROCEDURE

1. Remove and disassemble the left and right front strut assemblies.

2. Replace both left and right front jounce bumpers (4) (Fig. 1).

3. Reassemble and install the left and right front strut assemblies.

NOTE: Verify wheel alignment is within specifications.
