Women’s Board to Hold Second Automotive Aftermarket Women’s Career Day

To showcase the career opportunities within the automotive aftermarket, the Car Care Council Women's Board is pleased to announce the second annual Automotive Aftermarket Women's Career Day. The event will be held at the Dover International Speedway in Dover, DE, on Friday, Sept. 21, 2007.

To showcase the career opportunities within the automotive aftermarket, the Car Care Council Women’s Board is pleased to announce the second annual Automotive Aftermarket Women’s Career Day. The event will be held at the Dover International Speedway in Dover, DE, on Friday, Sept. 21, 2007.

“The Automotive Aftermarket Women’s Career Day provides us with a unique opportunity to educate students about the automotive aftermarket and specifically, careers for young women,” said Katie Noga, president of the Car Care Council Women’s Board. ”It is one of our goals to encourage women to consider our industry as a career path and this venue is a great means of direct communication with students.”

Participants will hear guest speakers from all facets of the automotive aftermarket and racing industry. Lunch is included and the day will be topped off with an on-site garage tour. The event is open to female students ages 18-34.

The Women’s Board is comprised of professional women and men, including company executives, service shop owners, service writers, motor sports figures, association executives and consultants, who are dedicated to informing female audiences about proper vehicle maintenance and safety, while encouraging young people to investigate automotive career choices.
