Trico Products To Sponsor Guinness International Champions Cup

Trico Products Corp. announced it is a premiere partner of the Guinness International Champions Cup (ICC), a soccer tournament featuring eight of Europe’s most recognizable clubs. The 2014 Guinness ICC season will tour 13 stadiums across the U.S. and Canada.

Teams, including Manchester United, Real Madrid, AS Roma, AC Milan, Liverpool FC, Olympiacos FC, Manchester City FC and FC Internazionale, will be split into two brackets for group play beginning Thursday, July 24. The winner from each group will compete in the championship match at Sun Life Stadium in Miami on Monday, Aug. 4. For a complete schedule, visit the Guinness ICC website.

“We are thrilled to support a growing passion for soccer in North America, and we’re eager to engage in the excitement surrounding Europe’s top teams,” said Danielle Orlando, director of marketing and brand management at Trico Products Corp. “With all the enthusiasm generated by the recent FIFA World Cup, our sponsorship with the Guinness ICC provides a unique opportunity for us to connect with our domestic and international audiences, and to introduce our wiper blade innovations globally.”

Last year’s Guinness ICC tournament final between Real Madrid and Chelsea attracted more than 67,000 fans to Sun Life Stadium. This year’s tournament is expected to draw a larger fan base as it follows the conclusion of the 2014 FIFA World Cup.
