Tenneco Inc. has announced a significant expansion of its Monroe line of premium replacement brake pads, with 42 new part numbers covering popular domestic and import vehicles up to and including the 2006 model year.

Premium Monroe Ceramics (ceramic formula) and Monroe Dynamics (semi-metallic) brake pads provide a total stopping solution for automotive service providers and their customers. Premium Monroe pads are shipped complete with all required hardware, noise elimination clips and electronic wear sensors (where applicable) to help shops increase bay productivity and ensure a high-quality brake repair. Each set of Monroe pads also is available with a $25 consumer mail-in rebate throughout 2006.

Among the latest applications now covered by the Monroe brakes line are:
• 2006 Chevrolet Impala and Monte Carlo (Ceramics and Dynamics)
• 2006 Nissan Ridgeline (Ceramics and Dynamics)
• 2005 Nissan Frontier and Pathfinder (Ceramics and Dynamics)
• 2005 Buick Terraza, Chevrolet Uplander, Pontiac Montana SV6 and Saturn Relay (Ceramics and Dynamics)
• 2005 Acura RL (Ceramics)
• 2005 Ford F250/350 (Dynamics)
• 2005 Ford Escape (Ceramics)
• 2005 Chrysler 300 (Ceramics)
• 2004-05 Ford F-150 (Ceramics)
• 2004-05 Porsche Cayenne and VW Touareg (Dynamics)

Now with 830 part numbers, the Monroe brakes product line provides exceptional coverage of the North American passenger vehicle population, according to Tony Carter, brakes product manager, North American aftermarket, Tenneco.

“Part of our commitment to distributors and service dealers is to provide premium-quality products for more of the vehicles they repair,” Carter said. “By relying on Monroe brakes, shops have a total solution — including premium ceramic and/or semi-metallic formulations — for virtually any brake service opportunity.”

Monroe Ceramics brake pads feature true ceramic friction formulations — rather than the ceramic friction blends offered by some other manufacturers — to help ensure cooler, cleaner and quieter stopping. Monroe Dynamics brake pads combine the benefits of OE-preferred constant-pressure Positive Molding Technology with a variety of aftermarket-inspired engineering enhancements to ensure exceptional stopping power without the same degree of noise, wear and dust associated with many competing pads.

In addition to the $25 rebate, Monroe premium brake pads are offered with Tenneco’s exclusive 90-day risk-free “Safe & Sound Guarantee,” which enables consumers to return the products within 90 days for a full refund of the purchase price plus labor up to specified limits.
