Snap-on Offers Software Upgrades For European Vehicles

The newly updated European software for the Snap-on Software Upgrade 13.4 includes the latest FIAT 500 diagnostics coverage for engine, transmission, ABS, airbag, body control, instrument, electric power steering and more. The Snap-on optional European coverage is also available for nine other European makes including Audi, BMW, Jaguar, Land Rover, Mercedes-Benz, MINI, Smart Car, Volkswagen and Volvo.

The newly updated European software for the Snap-on Software Upgrade 13.4 includes the latest FIAT 500 diagnostics coverage for engine, transmission, ABS, airbag, body control, instrument, electric power steering and more. The Snap-on optional European coverage is also available for nine other European makes including Audi, BMW, Jaguar, Land Rover, Mercedes-Benz, MINI, Smart Car, Volkswagen and Volvo. This update is one of Snap-on’s largest upgrades for European makes and models to date.         

“Diagnosing and repairing European vehicles is challenging, so Snap-on has added more depth to its European software,” said Christopher Hockett, product manager, Snap-on Diagnostics. “Software Upgrade 13.4, like previous upgrades, gives technicians true OEM-specific coverage to tackle jobs from general repair, to driveability, to body control and HVAC issues. Technicians should demand the most from their scan tools, including reliability, support and all the coverage they will utilize in the new Software Upgrade 13.4.”

Highlights of the Software Upgrade 13.4 optional European coverage include, but are not limited to:

• BMW Seat and Mirror Modules – 2004 and newer

• BMW HVAC

• BMW Power Distribution Module

• BMW Lamp Module

• Jaguar TPMS, EPS, IPM

• Land Rover HVAC

• Land Rover Park Assist

• Mercedes-Benz Front and Rear Signal Acquisition Modules (SAM)

• Volkswagen/Audi Throttle Relearn

• Plus coverage for hundreds of more European vehicle systems 

The new coverage in Snap-on Software Upgrade 13.4 includes additional diagnostic capabilities for over 64 million vehicles on the road today, expanding repair shops’ service reach while fueling efficiency and productivity in the bay. Technicians can service more cars because the newest Snap-on diagnostic software upgrade offers 47,400 new codes, tests, tips and data going back to 1998 for all major makes, plus new 2013 domestic and Asian model year coverage for GM, Infiniti, Lexus, Mazda, Nissan, Scion, Subaru, Suzuki and Toyota.
