The customer may experience an incident of engine misfire during certain vehicle operating conditions. The misfire may occur when the vehicle is operated between 50-70 mph and under light loading conditions, e.g. slight uphill road grades. This condition may occur at all ambient conditions, but is more noticeable when ambient conditions are less than 0° C (32° F).

Nissan Tech Tip: Chirp Noise on 2-3 Upshift
If a 1999-2000 Quest or Altima exhibits a "chirp" noise as the automatic transmission shifts from 2nd to 3rd gear, particularly when accelerating the vehicle with only 1/8 throttle applied, the noise may be coming from the high clutch assembly during operation. This noise can be eliminated by adding two bottles (200cc each, 400cc total) of Automatic Transmission Fluid Treatment to the transmission. Tech Tip: Restore Driveability and Performance after Power Disconnect
Many computer-controlled vehicles memorize and store operation patterns that are lost when battery power is disconnected. The computer will use default data until a number of drive cycles have been memorized. To correct this problem the computer must go through a relearn procedure after the battery is disconnected. For the specific relearn procedures, refer to OE service bulletins or a repair manual for your vehicle. If a specific relearn procedure is not available, the following procedure can be used.
