Jeff Gordon Win At Martinsville Earns Seventh Bosch Aftermarket NA Donation Of The Season For Hendrick Marrow Program

BoschJeff Gordon, driving his Bosch-equipped No. 24 Hendrick Chevrolet, held off Jamie McMurray to take the checkered flag in an exciting two-lap sprint to the finish at Sunday’s NASCAR Sprint Cup Series race in Martinsville. To mark the win, Bosch Aftermarket North America is making an additional $1,000 contribution to the Hendrick Marrow Program for a total of $7,000 donated to the charity so far this season. To date in 2015, Bosch-supported teams have earned a total of $28,000 for their worthy charitable organizations.

The Hendrick Marrow Program mission is to raise money to help cover uninsured costs of transplants through the Hendrick Family Fund for patient assistance, while growing the Be The Match Registry of volunteer donors.  Rick Hendrick, owner of Hendrick Motorsports, established the Hendrick Marrow Program of the Be The Match Foundation, operated by the National Marrow Donor Program, after being diagnosed with leukemia in 1997.

“Once again Martinsville racing action didn’t disappoint on Sunday. The Bosch Aftermarket NA team congratulates Jeff Gordon and the entire Hendrick Motorsports team on its latest victory,” said Tony Pauly, director of advertising and brand management for Bosch Automotive Aftermarket North America. “We wish Jeff all the best as he rounds out his final year of racing.”

Bosch Aftermarket has a long-standing partnership with NASCAR, providing oxygen sensors to all NASCAR Sprint Cup Series teams.  Additionally, Bosch has provided quality parts — including spark plugs, injectors, alternators, coils, filters, fuel pumps, starters and pressure regulators — to multiple NASCAR teams for more than a decade, helping them to numerous wins and seven Sprint Cup Series championships since 2001.
