Infineon Raceway to Host Nostalgia Get-Together at FRAM Autolite NHRA Nationals

The Get-Together, which will be located on the lawn behind the staging lanes and adjacent to Gate 1, will feature 30 vintage racing machines and hot rods, some dating as far back as the 1950s, and will be open all weekend. Entry to the Get-Together is free with your paid admission into the raceway.

SONOMA, CA — Race fans will be treated to a bit of history at the FRAM Autolite NHRA Nationals, July 16-18, with the first Infineon Raceway Nostalgia Get-Together.
 
The Get-Together, which will be located on the lawn behind the staging lanes and adjacent to Gate 1, will feature 30 vintage racing machines and hot rods, some dating as far back as the 1950s, and will be open all weekend.  Entry to the Get-Together is free with your paid admission into the raceway.
 
It’s an opportunity for race fans to take a stroll down memory lane with the “Flathead Jack” twin-engine flathead dragster, or the Vagabond 1962 AA/Fuel Dragster formerly driven by Gary Ormsby. The area will feature vintage front-engine Top Fuel dragsters, nostalgia Funny Car floppers, A/Fuel dragsters, Gassers and more. Plus, you can meet the owners of these historical machines and get autographs.

• 1976 BLUE MAX Funny Car;
• The Schrank Bros. Top Fuel Dragster;
• Sid Waterman’s Top Fuel Dragster (Sunday only);
• Mike Fuller’s AA/Fuel Dragster driven by Bill Dunlap;
• Steve Castelli’s “Hot Rod Willys” 1941 Willys Coupe; and
• More!

 The raceway will also host two Legends Track Talk Q&A sessions in the Wine Country Winner’s Circle on Friday at 12:30 p.m. and Saturday at 11:15 a.m.

It’s a chance to chat about racing history with some of drag racing’s most memorable drivers. In addition, the Nostalgia Get-Together will also feature free glaucoma screening, provided by the Eye Care Center of Napa Valley, from 9 a.m.-3 p.m. on Saturday and Sunday.
