Identifix/iATN Parent Company Among 100 Fastest-Growing Private Software Companies

Service Repair Solutions' three-year sales growth leads to Inc. magazine listing.

Inc. magazine recognized Service Repair Solutions, Inc., (www.servicerepairsolutions.com) (SRS) with a rank of 63 among the top 100 fastest-growing private software companies. SRS, which provides information solutions for the automotive repair industry, experienced a three-year sales growth of 310.4% between 2005 and 2008. Overall, SRS was ranked number 986 on the third annual Inc. 5000, an exclusive ranking of the nation’s fastest-growing private companies.

SRS serves the automotive service and repair market through its wholly owned operating divisions:

• Mobile Productivity, Inc. (MPi) (www.mpifix.com) was the founding business of the company, and currently serves more than 600 new car dealerships with its World Class Inspection program.

• Identifix, Inc. (Identifix) (www.identifix.com) serves the automotive aftermarket with a telephone-based Repair Hotline service to assist technicians in diagnosing vehicles in their repair shop — fielding 15-20,000 calls per month, and Direct-Hit, an online diagnostic information service that allows technicians to access the Identifix database of symptoms and potential fixes with more than 20,000 subscribers.

• International Automotive Technicians’ Network, Inc. (iATN) (www.iatn.net) is an online community of more than 67,000 automotive repair professionals in 153 countries.

The Inc. 5000 list represents the most comprehensive look at the most important segment of the economy — America’s independent-minded entrepreneurs.

“Savvy trend spotters and those who invest in private companies know that the Inc. 5000 is the best place to find out about young companies that are achieving success through a wide variety of unprecedented business models, as well as older private companies that are still expanding at an impressive rate,” said Inc. 5000 project manager Jim Melloan. “That’s why our list is so eagerly anticipated every year.”

Commenting on the ranking, Les Silver, CEO of Service Repair Solutions stated, “We are very proud of the hard work of all our employees, which has resulted in our tremendous growth over the past few years. With the current challenges the automotive industry faces, our services have become increasingly vital. It is our mission to revolutionize the delivery of service and repair in the automotive industry. SRS enhances service and repair at the point of delivery — improving the experience for those diagnosing, repairing and communicating the growing complexity of automotive service.”

In more Identifix news, the company just announced that it has experienced unprecedented growth in the current market with the number of vehicles looked up by subscribers to the company’s Direct Hit product reaching more than 8.3 million per year. These numbers have almost doubled from 2008, where 5.4 million vehicles were looked up for the year. Subscribers have also grown at a fast pace; from just over 15,000 in 2008 to over 20,000 in 2009; an increase of more than 5,000 subscribers in just the first six months of 2009.
