Forensics Investigator Brian F. Chase Joins The Global Brake Safety Council

Chase is an expert in the sciences of motor vehicle crash reconstruction and automotive technology at state and federal court levels. He serves as the vehicle forensics expert for the Office of the United States Attorney and F.B.I. out of the Washington D.C., field office and is the retained leading expert nationally for high-profile criminal cases inclusive of felony murder.

The Global Brake Safety Council has announce the addition of its newest member, Brian F. Chase. Chase is the lead forensics investigator and expert witness in the October 2018 New York limousine crash – the deadliest crash in the United States over the past decade. As noted, this case was a direct result of catastrophic brake failure.

Chase is an expert in the sciences of motor vehicle crash reconstruction and automotive technology at state and federal court levels. He serves as the vehicle forensics expert for the Office of the United States Attorney and F.B.I. out of the Washington D.C., field office and is the retained leading expert nationally for high-profile criminal cases inclusive of felony murder. Chase also has served as the F.B.I. vehicle forensics expert for three murder trials out of Baghdad, Iraq.

Chase, founder of Comprehensive Motor Vehicle Services & Consulting (CMVSC) with a main office address in New Hampshire (United States), is an internationally recognized expert in the science of motor vehicle crash reconstruction and the science of automotive technology, vehicle forensics, and the related analyses of vehicle component systems to establish pre-crash deficiencies which may have contributed to the cause of the vehicle dynamics prior to and during the crash sequence events. He has more than 30 years of education, training and experience in the science of automotive technology combined with more than 30 years of education, training and experience in the science of motor vehicle crash reconstruction, providing expert services inclusive of unique training seminars (such as motor vehicle braking system technology and component analysis) internationally since his retirement from the New Hampshire State Police. Chase holds a B.S. in Automotive Technology, is an NIASE Certified Undercar Specialist, NIASE Certified Master Automotive Technician, NIASE Certified Crash Damage Analyst, and NIASE Certified Master Heavy Truck Technician, as well as a member of the National Association of Professional Accident Reconstruction Specialists and a member of the Society of Automotive Engineers.

The braking system component disassembly, inspection, analysis and resulting deceleration calculations during crash reconstruction procedures allow Chase to realize the results of inadequate braking components and their sometimes deadly affects due to the reduced deceleration factor of the vehicle.
