It was a fun night of great racing, but more importantly, it was a night of great racing for a great cause. Eight NASCAR Sprint Cup stars, including Federated spokesperson Ken Schrader, raced in the sixth annual M&M NASCAR Night of Stars at Schrader’s I-55 Raceway in Pevely, MO, on July 23. The proceeds from the event were donated to a variety of charities.
“This was a wonderful event for everyone involved,” said J.R. Bishop, director of motorsports and event marketing for Federated Auto Parts. “Kenny did a great job hosting and planning the night and Federated was honored to be a part of it. We invited more than 100 guests to attend the race and it turned out to be a great hospitality event for Federated.”
Schrader, along with NASCAR stars Tony Stewart, Ricky Carmichael, Ron Hornaday, Dennis Setzer, Terry Labonte, Justin Labonte, Rick Crawford, Dave Blaney, Stephen Wallace and Brendan Gaughan, raced in UMP Modifieds. Schrader drove his own #9 UMP Modified sponsored by Federated and provided two-time cup champion Stewart with a Federated sponsored car to drive.
