Brake components manufacturer Centric Parts has launched a new corporate website at www.centricparts.com. The website now offers a wealth of new features as well as expanded functionality for customers, according to the eight year old company.

“Centric Parts and its performance divisions, StopTech and PowerSlot, have been focused on product innovations, but our site was not as up to date,” said Dan Lelchuk, president of Centric Parts. “Centric Parts has listened to its customers during our eight years and now offers a website that better meets their needs while providing a great platform for us to communicate with them.”

New and expanded features found at www.centricparts.com include online part ordering for distributors, a catalog lookup function with part identification images and buyers guide data, downloadable documents including tech guides and white papers, tickets for Centric Parts’ award winning tech support, plus product info, new part releases and company news.

The site also provides access to the company’s budding The Brake Room blog and YouTube channel, as well as links to visit the company’s StopTech and Power Slot divisions. The site even features a photo gallery with company logos, product shots and images from events and races.

Wheel Bearing Analysis

What creates endplay? What creates noise?

On a typical passenger vehicle weighing around 3,400 pounds, each pair of front-wheel bearings, as well as the rear-wheel or axle bearings, supports around 850 pounds, depending on the weight balance and driveline configuration. If it’s a 6,000-pound SUV, each bearing might carry about 1,500 pounds. This load is concentrated on the relatively small bearing surfaces, which do not even take into account the dynamic loads produced by cornering.
