Bosch Aftermarket NA Makes Donation To Speedway Children’s Charities For Carl Edwards Victory In Darlington

2015 NASCAR DarlingtonRacing back from an early two-lap deficit, Carl Edwards drove his Bosch-equipped No. 19 ARRIS Toyota to victory in Sunday night’s NASCAR Sprint Cup Series Race in Darlington, South Carolina. In recognition of the victory, Bosch Aftermarket NA is making its second $1,000 contribution to Speedway Children’s Charities (SCC), making a total of 11 contributions overall to Joe Gibbs drivers’ charities.  Thus far in the 2015 NASCAR Sprint Cup Series season, Bosch-supported teams have won twenty-one races, garnering a total of $21,000 to help charities carry out their missions.

Speedway Children’s Charities works to care for children in educational, financial, social and medical need in order to help them lead productive lives. Founded in 1982 by Bruton Smith, Chairman of Speedway Motorsports and Sonic Automotive, in memory of his late son, the goal of SCC is to ensure that every child in need be given the tools to build a better, brighter and healthy future.

Speedway Children’s Charities local chapters are partners in change, working with a broad range of people and organizations to identify and resolve pressing issues dealing with children in their communities. Due to the unique conditions of every community, the issues Speedway Children’s Charities addresses are determined locally. Challenges such as learning disabilities, broken homes, and childhood cancer are on the agenda for the local chapters of SCC and the numerous non-profit organizations they support.

“This was a great Labor Day weekend race, and the throwback paint schemes made the day even more special,” said Tony Pauly, director of advertising and brand management for Bosch Automotive Aftermarket North America.  “Bosch congratulates Carl Edwards and the entire Joe Gibbs Racing organization on this victory.  We’re proud that Joe Gibbs Racing teams trust Bosch quality parts and systems and we’re happy to lend support to a worthy charity like Speedway Children’s Charities.”

Bosch Aftermarket has a long-standing partnership with the NASCAR, providing oxygen sensors to all NASCAR Sprint Cup Series teams. Additionally, Bosch has provided quality parts — including spark plugs, injectors, alternators, coils, filters, fuel pumps, starters and pressure regulators — to multiple NASCAR teams for more than a decade, helping them to numerous appearances in victory lane and seven Sprint Cup Series championships since 2001.
