Bosch Adds To Braking, O2 Sensor, Ignition Coil, Filter Lines

BoschOilFilterBosch has expanded its portfolio of part numbers for select product lines. A total of 47 new part numbers has been added to the Bosch offering in the braking, O2 sensor, ignition coil and oil filter lines.

Bosch QuietCast Brake Pads and Bosch Blue Brake Pads
Thirty-four new Bosch QuietCast and Bosch Blue Brake Pad sets from the Bosch Braking Components group expand Bosch coverage for many late-model Asian, domestic and European vehicles. With one in every three vehicles in North America using Bosch braking components, these 34 new additions further increase Bosch coverage for an additional 5.3 million units in operation, the company states.

While QuietCast Brake Pad sets are – in most cases – offered with hardware kits, Bosch Blue Brake pad sets are offered with and without hardware kits on selected applications. For example, the Bosch QuietCast Disc Brake Pad set with hardware is available for 2011 Nissan Quest, 2012 Mazda CX7, 2012-’13 Fiat 500 and 2012 Lexus HS250h. For the same vehicles, Bosch Blue Disc Brake Pad sets are available both with and without hardware kits. The premium Bosch QuietCast line features a pre-attached rubber core shim. Mainly used by original equipment manufacturers, the rubber core shim is offered exclusively by Bosch for the independent aftermarket, the company says.

Bosch Oxygen Sensors
The Bosch Gasoline Systems group has introduced four new OE-fit oxygen sensors that together cover 10.9 million new Asian and domestic vehicles in operation. Of these part number additions, two are wideband air/fuel ratio sensors. Wideband A/F sensors represent the newest and most advanced technology in the oxygen sensor category, according to Bosch. The company now offers wideband A/F sensors for a variety of applications such as 2010 Acura MDX, 2009-’11 Acura TL, 2008-’10 Honda Accord, 2011-’13 KIA Sorento and more. Also included in this part number expansion are Bosch Premium Oxygen Sensors for 2007-’13 Nissan Altima, 2011-’13 Ford Fiesta, 2005-’08 Ford E-350 Super Duty, 2005-’08 Ford E-150 and more. Designated as an official NASCAR Performance product, Bosch Oxygen Sensors are on every car running in the NASCAR Sprint Cup Series for 2014.

Bosch Ignition Coils
Bosch has also added four new ignition coils to its product line to cover 2.3 million Asian, domestic and European vehicles that are no longer under service warranty but are prime candidates for service in the independent aftermarket. These direct-fit ignition coils meet or exceed OEM specifications and are available for applications such as 2007-’08 Nissan Versa, 2006 Audi A4, 2006 Audi TT, 2006 Audi Quattro, 2004-’06 Buick Rendezvous, 2004-’06 Cadillac SRX, 2005-’13 Volkswagen Jetta and more.

Bosch Oil Filters
Five oil filter part numbers covering 6.6 million new vehicles have been released by the Bosch filter group. Among them, two are Bosch Premium Oil Filters, one is a DistancePlus Oil Filter and two are Workshop Oil Filters that fit many 2014 Ford, Subaru, GM cars and trucks. The new Premium oil filters fit 2011-’14 6.7 Diesel F Series Pickup trucks and 2011-’14 Subaru 2.0 and 2.5 engines. The high efficiency/high capacity Bosch DistancePlus Oil Filter is now available for 2009-’14 Ford, GM and Ram Pickup trucks. Geared to suit the needs of repair shop technicians, the new additions to Bosch Workshop Oil Filters cover 2011-’14 Subaru 2.0 and 2.5 engines, and 2011-’13 Chrysler Dodge and Jeep applications.

“Our aftermarket team is constantly working to release new SKUs across our many product lines to provide the parts that automotive repair shops and technicians need to service their customers’ vehicles successfully,” said Thomas Winter, vice president, Automotive Aftermarket, Robert Bosch LLC.
