Auto Value and Bumper to Bumper veterans were honored Thursday as the Aftermarket Auto Parts Alliance’s Great Hawaiian Getaway participants visited Pearl Harbor.
The group of 100 guests took a private tour of the USS Arizona Memorial and enjoyed an exclusive lunch on the fantail of the great American battleship, the USS Missouri (The Mighty Mo). Imperial Japan surrendered to the Allied Forces on the decks of the USS Missouri to end World War II. The mighty battleship last saw action during Desert Storm.
“It was truly humbling to be at Pearl Harbor today,” said Pat Winters, of Warren Distributing and The Great Hawaiian Getaway’s ambassador of fun, “I am honored to have shared this moment with folks who are not only great members of the Auto Value and Bumper to Bumper family but people who are genuine heroes. I want to personally thank these veterans for their service to our country.”
The Great Hawaiian Getaway continued Friday with a snorkeling tour and a night out in Honolulu.
