Are Your TPMS Tools Updated? They Should Be

AAPEX event featured experts sharing national TPMS service issues severely impacting shops and parts retailers.

To help further promote their “Update Your TPMS Tools!” campaign, the coalition of TPMS manufacturers, including ATEQ, Bartec TPMS, Continental, and Schrader, hosted a press conference at the 2023 AAPEX Show. The event, which was held at Joe’s Garage (Booth J9034), featured representatives from each manufacturer speaking on recent TPMS service issues that were severely impacting shops and parts retailers across the country.

Having updated software was absolutely essential with the introduction of the latest generation of TPMS sensors. By updating their TPMS tool software, technicians could prevent TPMS service issues and avoid unnecessary delays. The press conference was open to any attendee of the AAPEX Show and focused on the importance of technicians and shops keeping their TPMS tool software up-to-date.

“This was a critical issue that was causing headaches for shops and technicians alike, and shops were struggling to keep TPMS service profitable, while parts professionals were seeing warranty claims on TPMS sensors that were in perfect working order,” added Anouré Fenstermaker, marketing communications manager, Continental. “The aim of this press conference was to educate the media and service professionals about this persistent concern and provide a platform for them to speak directly with the experts from the manufacturers.”
