AMRA/MAP Tech Meeting Set for September

Paul DeGuiseppe of MACS is scheduled to speak on A/C maintenance recommendations on the first day of the Technical Committee meeting.

The Automotive Maintenance and Repair Association (AMRA) and Motorist Assurance Program (MAP) will host its final Technical Committee meeting of the calendar year Sept. 16-17 in Rolling Meadows, IL (a suburb of Chicago), with AMRA/MAP as the host.

Paul DeGuiseppe of the Mobile Air Conditioning Society (MACS) is scheduled to speak on air conditioning maintenance recommendations during the first day of the Technical Committee meeting on Sept. 16. Some of the other topics for discussion are expected to include a presentation on universal fluids (coolants, lubricants, etc.), as well as updates for the 2010-’11 release of MAP’s Uniform Inspection and Communication Standards (UICS).

The meeting will be held at the Holiday Inn Rolling Meadows-Schaumburg. A networking dinner will be held the evening of Wednesday, Sept. 16, at Weber Grill in Shaumburg, IL. This dinner gives the attendees an opportunity to get together in a more relaxed and social atmosphere and learn more about each other and their respective businesses.

AMRA/MAP hosts three Technical Committee meetings each calendar year, with one held in Florida in January and the other two in Rolling Meadows in April and September.
