Delmar, part of Cengage Learning and a leading provider of learning solutions for ongoing career development and education, recently announced the release of updated Automotive (A-Series) and Trucking (T-Series) Automotive Service Excellence (ASE) Exam Preparation Manuals. The newly updated A-Series manuals, which are currently available, and the T-Series manuals, which will be available in coming months, are designed to fully prepare technicians for all automotive and trucking ASE exams offered.

The fifth editions contain content that thoroughly teaches learners the content necessary to prepare for the A1- A9, X1, P2, L1, C1 and T1-T8 ASE Certification exams. They are set up logically, with the test-takers best interest in mind and help the technician to become more familiar with the structure of the ASE exams. The manuals ensure that learners not only learn and understand the new task lists from ASE, which the actual certification exams are based upon, but also provide valuable test taking strategies enabling learners to arrive fully prepared and confident on test day. The new versions include:

• Six unique sample practice tests, with questions that mimic actual ASE test questions;
• Weighted questions to ensure that technicians are focusing on the most important areas covered on actual ASE exams;
• Overview of what to expect when taking an ASE exam; and
• Detailed explanations as to why an answer is correct or incorrect.

“It is known industry-wide, that ASE certified automotive and trucking technicians are among the best in the field,” said Kristen Davis, director, professional transportation learning solutions, Delmar. “As a recent recipient of the National Excellence in Training Award from the Automotive Training Managers Council, Delmar understands the importance of training in this field. This is why these new editions contain more practice tests than any other ASE test preparation manual on the market and have been updated to coincide with the latest industry technologies and ever-changing ASE content. With a greater understanding of the material and a more confidence walking into an exam, the test-taker will have a greater chance of passing, which will help these technicians to advance and evolve within their careers and join an elite group of ASE Certified technicians.”
