Know Your Parts, the industry awareness campaign initiated by the Automotive Aftermarket Suppliers Association (AASA), is bringing its new messaging, “It’s What’s Inside that Counts,” to the Automotive Aftermarket Products Expo (AAPEX) at its exhibit and with promotional signs throughout the Sand Expo Center.

“It has never been more important for the automotive aftermarket industry to stand united and support the Know Your Parts campaign,” said Steve Handschuh, president and COO of AASA. “At AAPEX 2011, AASA and its full service supplier members will renew the call for the automotive aftermarket to stand united around our new campaign theme, ‘It’s What’s Inside That Counts!”

This week at AAPEX 2011, the AASA Know Your Parts booth will depict the quality of a wide variety of parts from more than 60 full service aftermarket manufacturer members of AASA. Displays at Booth #3800 include cutaways and diagrams of parts; videos detailing quality comparisons; and more.

Jack Vollbrecht, senior vice president, business development, Remy Power Products and member of the AASA Marketing Executives Council, will present live demonstrations from 10 a.m. until 11 a.m. on Tuesday, Nov. 1, and Wednesday, Nov. 2, at the Know Your Parts exhibit, Sands #3800. His presentation will illustrate the differences between high quality parts from trusted aftermarket manufacturers and generic samples of the low quality products that continue to flow into the U.S. aftermarket.

The Know Your Parts booth also features brochures, reports and more information about the campaign. Know Your Parts information also is available in the AASA Member Center, Sands Room 104.

Details about the campaign are available after AAPEX at the AASA Know Your Parts website, www.KnowYourParts.org.
