Parts Plus Serves as Primary Sponsor of World Champion Drag Racer Clay Millican During 2011 NHRA Full Throttle Series

As the primary sponsor, the Parts Plus logo and vibrant orange-and-red color scheme will be prominently featured all over Millican's dragster. Parts Plus will also receive exposure with large logos appearing on the transporter and the team vans and race uniforms.

Parts Plus will be the primary sponsor of six-time World Champion Clay Millican and his Top Fuel dragster during the 2011 NHRA Full Throttle Series, according to Mike Lambert, president of the Automotive Distribution Network.

“For 12 events this season, Parts Plus will team with MPE Motorsports as the primary sponsor of Clay Millican, the winningest Top Fuel driver in the country,” Lambert said. “Clay’s racing success is complemented by his appearances as the host of shows on SPEED TV and MTV2, making him one of the most recognized faces in the sport. This targeted exposure for our brand will be amazing as the Parts Plus dragster burns rubber down NHRA drag strips nationwide. ”

Logos of many of the group’s manufacturer partners will also be included on the Parts Plus dragster as associate sponsors. On race days, Parts Plus will host onsite hospitality events for their customers, featuring appearances by Millican and providing promotional tie-in opportunities for local Parts Plus auto stores and Car Care Centers.

“Racing is my passion and what I love to do, but it’s important on the business side to secure sponsors like Parts Plus and their vendor partners,” Millican said. “I will be an asset to Parts Plus and their vendors both on and off the track. It’s my goal to continue winning and for all the manufacturers involved to sell a lot of parts and for Parts Plus to remain a household name.”

Operating under the brands of Parts Plus, IAPA, AutoStar, Auto Pride, CMB and Network Products, the Automotive Distribution Network is one of the largest, most diverse program groups in the industry.
