Federated, Standard Award ‘Dream Car Sweepstakes’ Grand Prize to Newport Auto Center

Winner receives $15,000 to spend at nationally televised car auction.

Michael Berger, owner of Newport Auto Center in Wilmington, DE, is the winner of the Federated Auto Parts-Standard brand Oxygen Sensors “Dream Car Sweepstakes,” it was announced recently.  Berger will receive an all-expense paid trip for two to the Mecum Kissimmee Auction, Jan. 28-31, 2010 at Osceola Heritage Park in Kissimmee, FL, plus $15,000 to spend on the car of his dreams.

“We want to congratulate Michael on winning this tremendous opportunity to attend the auction and purchase his dream car,” said Rusty Bishop, CEO of Federated Auto Parts.  “We also want to thank Standard for partnering with us on this exciting promotion. The ‘Dream Car Sweepstakes’ has been very successful for Federated and Standard because classic and muscle cars are close to the hearts of our customers.”

The Mecum Kissimmee auction will be broadcast live on national TV during Mecum’s popular television series, “Mecum Auto Auction: Muscle Cars & More” on Discovery Communications’ HD Theater. Other prizes awarded in the “Dream Car Sweepstakes” include a 47-inch HD LCD television and a Dell Inspiron laptop.

To participate, Federated customers had to purchase 10 Standard brand Oxygen Sensors before Nov. 23, 2009 and return the sweepstakes form to receive a $50 gift certificate from either Best Buy, Home Depot, Lowe’s, Macy’s, Federated Auto Parts or Target.  Each participating Federated customer was then automatically entered in the “Dream Car Sweepstakes” to win the trip to find their dream car.
