WIX Filters Sets Record Product Development Pace

A total of 311 new part numbers have been added to product lineup in 2009.

As part of an aggressive new filter line expansion this year, WIX Filters, a member of the Affinia Group family of brands, has developed and produced 311 new part numbers from January 1 through July 29, 2009. The new filters include 115 premium light-duty filters, 165 premium heavy-duty filters and 31 opening price point filters.

“WIX continues to be on a record pace for product releases in 2009, with a broad emphasis on premium filters for light-duty foreign nameplate brands and heavy-duty applications,” said Patrick Enniss, product development manager for WIX Filters, which is celebrating its 70th anniversary in 2009. “Our engineers and product developers have been working tirelessly to develop and put into production more than one new filter every day this year.”

The development of new premium heavy-duty filters is always a focus of WIX Filters’ product expansion plans. The 165 new premium heavy-duty filters released by WIX so far in 2009 include oil, air, cabin air, fuel, and hydraulic filters for Caterpillar, Cummins, John Deere, Komatsu, Mack and New Holland, among other brands.

Filters for foreign nameplate applications lead the new premium light-duty filter list, with more than 93 new air, oil, cabin air and fuel filter product numbers for Mazda, Honda, Hyundai, BMW, Porsche, Audi and Volkswagen, among other brands.

WIX Filters is constantly adding new part numbers to its online catalog. Customers can find filters for their vehicle by using the filter look-up tool at www.wixfilters.com.
