Monroe has announced that its new offering of premium ceramic and metallic brake pads is now available through leading parts suppliers across the U.S. Monroe Ceramics and Monroe Dynamics brake pads received overwhelmingly positive reviews from distributors and service dealers who participated in a market pilot in the Northeast U.S. earlier this year.

Monroe brakes are manufactured and marketed by Tenneco, a global manufacturer of ride control, friction, exhaust/emission, and noise, vibration and harshness control products for the original equipment and replacement markets.

“For nearly 90 years technicians and consumers have trusted Monroe to deliver precisely the right technology and performance for every application,” said Rick Steinbrenner, marketing director, Monroe brakes. "Monroe brakes reinforce this brand leadership by linking another vital product category that helps provide the steering, stopping and stability characteristics millions of drivers rely on each day."

With more than 800 part numbers covering a broad range of popular late-model domestic and import passenger applications, the Monroe brakes product line represents a total stopping solution for today’s service providers. In fact, the new Monroe product line offers 87 more part numbers for popular domestic and import makes/models than any other aftermarket brake manufacturer.

Each set of premium Monroe brake pads is engineered to produce less noise and dust and provide better stopping performance than competing products. Unlike many other replacement brake pads, Monroe brake pads are also shipped complete with all required hardware and related materials — including noise elimination clips and electronic wear sensors (where applicable) — enabling service providers to do the job right the first time without having to search for the right hardware.

"Our engineers have spent more than two years developing pad technologies and manufacturing processes that deserve to carry the Monroe name," Steinbrenner said. "Shop owners and technicians have told us they’re extremely pleased with the quiet performance, exceptional braking power and precise pedal feel provided by Monroe brakes."

The Monroe brakes product line features a variety of noise-reduction technologies, including an advanced rubberized shim design. In addition, Monroe offers an innovative "Sensory Locking Plate" that holds the friction material more securely than conventional stamped-steel backing plates. Each set of pads also is slotted and chamfered and shipped with all required noise elimination hardware to ensure exceptional customer satisfaction through minimal noise, vibration and harshness.

Monroe brake pads are covered by the brand’s exclusive 90-day risk-free "Safe & Sound Guarantee," which enables consumers to return the products within 90 days for a full refund of the purchase price plus labor up to specified limits. (For guarantee details, please visit www.monroebrakes.com.)
