TECH-NET Professional Auto Service Raises More Than $15,000 for Special Olympics

TECH-NET Professional Auto Service recently presented the Special Olympics more than $15,000, raised through the sale of die-cast and t-shirt souvenirs of the No. 04 TECH-NET Professional Auto Service/Law Enforcement Torch Run for Special Olympics NASCAR Craftsman Truck, driven by Bobby Hamilton.

TECH-NET Professional Auto Service, CARQUEST Auto Parts and Bobby Hamilton Racing joined forces in 2005 to raise funds and awareness for the Law Enforcement Torch Run for Special Olympics. The Torch Run supports a wide variety of local fund-raising activities with CARQUEST, with 100 percent of all local funds remaining in the state or province where they are raised. Since 1998, CARQUEST has raised more than $5 million for Special Olympics.

"Thanks to the efforts of the more than 4,600 TECH-NET Professional Auto Service members located throughout North America, we were able to raise funds and awareness of Special Olympics through the sale of these souvenirs," said Mike DeSorbo, director of professional markets for CARQUEST. "Bobby Hamilton Racing is a great partner with TECH-NET and their efforts enhanced our program in 2005 while helping raise funds and awareness for Special Olympics."

The 2004 NASCAR Craftsman Truck champion competed four times in the No. 04 TECH-NET Professional Auto Service/Law Enforcement Torch Run for Special Olympics Dodge, winning once, on May 15 in Mansfield, OH. Hamilton also drove the No. 04 TECH-NET/Torch Run Dodge in Kansas City, Dallas and Phoenix.
