At the recent Parts Depot Company annual training conference in Roanoke, VA, an Alliance group member, ASC Industries, Inc. was presented with the only order fill rate award given out by Parts Depot this year.

ASC Industries was recognized for its outstanding ability to fulfill orders at an incredible rate of 99.82 percent for 2005. In attendance were many Parts Depot vendors and executives. Parts Depot CEO Rollie Olsen presented the award to ASC senior national accounts manager Mike Heid, who accepted the honor on behalf of the company.

“It felt great to accept this award for ASC and for our company to be recognized for something we strive to achieve on a daily basis,” exclaimed Heid. “There were many other Parts Depot vendors present that wished our company congratulations. They actually could not believe we had consistently achieved such an order fill rate!”

Alan Bostwick, vice president of marketing and merchandising for Parts Depot Inc., stated, “ASC has consistently given our company great service and great product. We are happy to award this recognition to one of our key business partners.”

ASC Industries, Inc., a leader in new water pump manufacturing, operates a just-in-time (JIT) manufacturing fulfillment process. “As a JIT manufacturer that does not offer thousands of SKUs, it requires more attention by our employees and operational demands on our company to achieve high order fill rates,” noted Jeff Sandt, vice president of sales and marketing for ASC.

“ASC continues to find ways to push the needle and raise the bar within the industry and, with this recognition, the company has achieved this goal,” added Sandt. “We deliver on what we promise and falling short of that achievement is not an option. Our customers comment to us that we continue to exceed their expectations for order lead times and order fill rates. It is truly wonderful to receive this recognition.”
