Today’s tires and rims are bigger than ever before, and COATS has the solution for meeting these evolving application demands – and with your existing COATS tire changer. In keeping with the COATS tradition of extending the lifespan of your wheel service equipment with upgrades, the company is pleased to announce three new innovative extension clamp kits.

These clamp kits increase the clamping capacity of the most popular family of tire changers in the United States. Available for the COATS 50X, 70X and 9024E Rim Clamp Tire Changers, they offer today’s technician the ease and flexibility needed to handle nearly any job that comes through the door.

Benefits of the 28-inch Extension Clamp Kit for the COATS 50X/70X Series include:
•Ability to externally clamp wheels from 16 inches up to and including 28 inches without damage.
•Fits COATS 50X, 60X and 70X Series Rim Clamp Tire Changers with quick and easy installation and removal.

Benefits of the 4-inch Extension Clamp Kits for the COATS 90 Series (part numbers 8185590 and 8185531) include:
•Ability to externally clamp wheels up to and including 28 inches without damage.
•Fits COATS 9024E Rim Clamp Tire Changers with quick and easy installation and removal.
•Clamp Kit part number 8185531 also features a 2-inch clamping reduction for servicing smaller wheels.

“These new COATS extension clamps will provide our large installed base of 50X and 70X Series and 9024E users with maximum application coverage,” said Andrew Vecci, group marketing manager for Hennessy Industries. “Our customers won’t need to purchase another tire changer to accommodate larger OEM and custom aftermarket wheel sizes; they can simply change the clamps based on their customer needs.”
