Affinia Under Vehicle Group recently announced the winners of the Raybestos brand brakes “Pit Crew Member for a Day” sweepstakes and a prize that includes roles as honorary pit crew members of Robert Yates Racing before the 2007 Bank of America 500 at Lowe’s Motor Speedway.

Robert “Mike” Graham, a service technician at the Paces Ferry Exxon in Atlanta, won the “Pit Crew Member for a Day” sweepstakes when purchasing Raybestos brand brakes Advanced Technology friction and rotor products from Brenda Goddard of Brake Supply Company, also in Atlanta.

“As the Official Brakes of NASCAR and an associate sponsor of Robert Yates Racing, we are excited to host our Pit Crew Member for a Day sweepstakes winners at Lowe’s Motor Speedway this fall,” said Ken Myers, marketing manager of branded products for Affinia Under Vehicle Group. “We enjoy rewarding our loyal customers who put their trust in Raybestos brand brakes in the same way Robert Yates relies on us for his NEXTEL Cup cars every weekend at the race track.”

Graham and his wife, Kimberley, along with Goddard and her husband, Rickey, will experience all of the behind-the-scenes racing excitement at Lowe’s Motor Speedway during the Oct. 12 race weekend.

On Saturday, Oct. 12, they will meet Robert Yates and receive an insider’s look at the pre-race action with a garage, pit and track tour hosted by Affinia Under Vehicle Group. On Sunday, the winners will have cold pit passes and suite tickets so they can enjoy the NASCAR NEXTEL Cup racing action from both the ground and sky level.

In addition to the grand prize winners, two second place winners won a replica M&M’s racing helmet autographed by Robert Yates, official M&M’s racing apparel, an M&M’s 1/24 die cast car autographed by Robert Yates, and an autographed Raybestos Rookie of the Year litho print. Third place winners received a Raybestos Racing prize package including a Raybestos NASCAR cap and items such as XM Radios and Weber grills, along with an autographed Raybestos Rookie of the Year litho print. The 90 day “Pit Crew Member for a Day” sweepstakes ran from Sept. 1 – Nov. 30, 2006.
