AMI Introduces E-Link Education and Training Guide

In an effort to provide automotive service and collision repair professionals with a one-stop resource tool for all their business management and technical training needs, the Automotive Management Institute (AMI) will soon offer the AMI E-Link Education and Training Guide, a comprehensive online directory.

Scheduled to launch in late November, the easy-to-use comprehensive guide will enable automotive service and collision repair professionals to locate industry training providers that offer the management education and technical training they need to not only survive, but prosper in today’s competitive environment. The guide can be accessed on the home page of AMI’s website (www.amionline.org) or through a direct link at www.AMIEducationLink.com.

AMI E-Link is a powerful search engine that continually indexes the websites of all companies represented in the guide. Visitors can easily locate training companies unique to the industry without the clutter of a general Internet search. Within the AMI E-Link, users have the option of performing keyword-driven searches that mirror traditional search engines, or a category-specific search. Both methods produce the most relevant results on the Web.

“Owners and managers have the very important responsibility of ensuring that the training and development needs of their employees are met,” said Toni Slaton, AAM, AMI executive director. “Industry professionals should look to the training providers listed in E-Link as resources to help them fulfill this responsibility. This new business tool will assist owners and managers seeking to invest in a competent workforce essential to the success of their organization.”

With the downloadable desktop search application, users have the ability to search for education and training providers directly from a small search window on their desktops, making the search process as convenient and time-efficient as possible. AMI E-Link also includes a Request for Information (RFI) tool, enabling users to contact training providers with one click of a button.

AMI partnered with MultiView Inc, a publisher of industry-specific search engines and supplier directories, to develop AMI E-Link. “MultiView understands that training and education are critical in today’s automotive repair industry. As vehicles become more complex, the training needed to repair these vehicles becomes even more important. Finding this training is becoming more and more difficult through traditional search engines,” said Dan Maitland, MultiView president. “The AMI E-Link Education and Training Guide saves industry professionals an incredible amount of time as they seek education and training unique to the automotive service industry.”

AMI was established to answer the demand for continuing education tailored specifically for the business needs of the automotive service industry. The Institute offers the Accredited Automotive Manager (AAM) designation, the first business management accreditation exclusively for the automotive service professional. To date, AMI programs have attracted more than 160,000 enrollments throughout North America. AMI is a not-for-profit educational foundation to which tax-deductible contributions can be made. For more information about the Institute, its curriculum, or EXCEL, please contact AMI at (800) 272-7467, ext. 241, or visit the AMI website at www.AMIonline.org.
