The Monroe brakes brand (www.monroebrakes.com) of Tenneco Inc. has announced a new trade promotion that will enable qualifying shop owners, technicians and distributor/jobber salespeople to earn cash cards valued at up to $75 each by relying on the Monroe brakes product line.

From now through June 30, 2008, qualifying repair providers can receive $25, $50 and $75 Monroe Brakes cash debit cards and 2,000 Tenneco Expert Plus bonus points through the Monroe Brakes “Brake the Bank” scorecard promotion. Each Monroe Brakes debit card can be used at any of thousands of retail businesses, just like a bank-issued cash card.

Participating shop professionals can qualify to receive a $25 Monroe Brakes debit card for the purchase of 12 sets of Monroe brake pads during the promotional period. Participants purchasing 24 sets of Monroe pads can qualify to receive a $50 Monroe Brakes debit card, and those purchasing 36 sets can earn a $75 Monroe Brakes debit card. There is no limit on the number of cards a participant can earn during the promotion period.

Tenneco also is offering a special distributor/jobber salesperson program that will award a $50 Monroe Brakes debit card to participants who sell 50 sets of Monroe brake pads through June 30, 2008.

“Last year’s promotional programs helped make Monroe Brakes an extremely popular choice among repair providers,” said Sheryl Bomia, North American Programs Manager, Aftermarket, Tenneco. “Now that aftermarket professionals have seen the exceptional quality and performance of our brake products, they can earn even greater rewards in 2008.”

Unlike brake products from some other manufacturers, Monroe Brakes are packaged with noise-elimination clips, hardware, moly-based lube, and OE-style wire wear sensors (most applications) to help technicians perform faster, more complete brake repairs.

The Monroe brakes product line includes application-specific Monroe Dynamics semi-metallic and Monroe Ceramics ceramic-formula brake pads based on original equipment-style technologies to provide exceptional stopping performance, quiet operation and long life. Monroe Dynamics brake pads are manufactured through a precisely controlled molding process that reduces resin content for more powerful, consistent and long-lasting brake performance. This “Positive Molding Technology” used for most Monroe Dynamics pads is the preferred choice of OE manufacturers because it leads to outstanding stopping performance.

Monroe Ceramics brake pads feature true ceramic formulations that promote cooler, cleaner and quieter stops. All Monroe brake pads feature OE-matched slots and chamfers, as required, to reduce braking-related noise. Tenneco also offers an extensive line of Monroe brake shoes featuring OE-style technology to eliminate chatter and rear-brake lock-up.
