NAPA AUTO PARTS, the Official Auto Parts Store of the Goodguys Rod & Custom Association, awarded Yorba Linda, CA, resident Randy McDaniel a NAPA Trick Truck award at the 8th Del Mar Rod & Custom Nationals this weekend in Del Mar, CA, for his unique 1938 Ford COE.

McDaniel’s COE took two years to build and has been completely redone, including changing the size and shape of the front grill and adding smoke pipes on both sides of the extended cab. This uniquely "tricked out" vehicle is a double hauler with upper and lower decks, and a completely hydraulic-based bed for unloading and reloading.

He also equipped this ride with two televisions in the cab, as well as three cameras for security purposes. Candy tangerine paint with a pearl base shows off the sparkles embedded in the paint to truly set off the exterior of the COE.

The truck had previously won awards from The Grand National Roadster tour in 2006, followed by being picked as one of the Top Five Pros Picks by the National Street Rod Association in 2007.

McDaniel earned a $100 NAPA gift certificate for tools from the on-site NAPA Tool & Equipment tent. In addition to the $100 NAPA gift certificate, he also received a NAPA hat, t-shirt and grease towel.

NAPA is presenting Trick Truck awards at all 24 Goodguys events with a projected annual attendance of 1.7 million.
