API is recalling 4,738 of its Spector Advanta SUV radial light truck/SUV tires in size P255/70R16. These tires were manufactured between Feb. 3 and Mar. 1, 2008 ad carry DOT numbers 3EEC0508 through 3EEC0808. According to NTSA, these tires may have a thin area of rubber on a portion of the tire bead, which could lead to a poor bead seat and air loss. (Courtesy of Tire Review)
