BCA Bearings Earns A Top Award For Its Mobile Catalog At Gathering Of Automotive Content Professionals Network

BCA captured a 2015-'16 President's Award in the Mobile Catalog category. Recognition for the mobile catalog application was achieved, in part, by the user-friendly design and functionality, along with its ability to put the BCA brand, its products, automotive technician training and additional valued content in front of the customer 24 hours a day, seven days a week, 365 days of the year.

ACPN_Award_stage_photoBCA, a supplier OE-quality hub assemblies, was a top winner at the Knowledge Exchange Conference, the world’s largest gathering of automotive content professionals, vendors and solutions partners. The event is hosted by the Automotive Content Professionals Network (ACPN), a professional society of the Auto Care Association. Member companies of the association represent all major product segments of the automotive aftermarket industry. The Knowledge Exchange Conference took place May 15-18 in New Orleans, Louisiana.

Highlighting the conference are the ACPN President’s Awards for Catalog Excellence. A President’s Award marks the highest level of honor within the organization. Awards are presented recognizing the best examples of paper catalog, web catalog and mobile catalog applications. Volunteer judges evaluated more than 60 submissions against established criteria.

Doreen Slayter, ACPN president and director, content services, Advance Auto Parts, commented, “The awards ceremonies at the ACPN conference were an integral part of the conference celebrating years of work and an enterprise-wide devotion to quality and precision in publishing automotive content.”

This is the first ACPN award for BCA. The winning app also received a top prize in the Automotive Communications Awards at the 2015 Automotive Aftermarket Products Expo (AAPEX).

According to Mark Richardson, catalog manager at BCA Bearings, “Our mobile app was developed to support our overall goal of building the BCA brand using improved content. Much more than just a flashy front page, our app is filled with complete application coverage, multiple product images, and technical support information. We are confident our customers will enjoy the enhanced experience created by the intuitive design and ease of access to the enriched content within the app.”
