After college, Bock sold cars and became a sales manager, then transitioned to being the owner/operator of a Ziebart franchise. He soon realized that the rustproofing industry was in decline, so he sold his shop and became general manager of a car dealership. There, Bock learned that the most profitable aspect of a dealership is repair, and feeling the need to be his own boss once again, he decided to buy and operate a Precision Tune franchise that specialized in maintenance service and repair.

During his ownership, his shop was the top grossing franchise in the system three times. For 11 consecutive years, his shop was among the top 10 highest-grossing franchises, and he was a member of the President’s Club. Bock was responsible for introducing an entirely new revenue stream into the franchise system, and, as a result of his outstanding performance, he was asked to consult with area franchisees along with individual owner/operators both nationally and internationally.

“I couldn’t be more excited to be able to work with someone like Russ, who not only had remarkable success as a shop owner, but that is principle-centered and truly enjoys helping people,” said Bob Cooper, president of Elite.
