Jimmie Johnson Earns Fourth Bosch Aftermarket NA Contribution For Hendrick Marrow Program At FedEx 400 Benefiting Autism Speaks

BoschJimmie Johnson drove his Bosch-equipped No. 48 Lowe’s Pro Services Chevrolet SS to victory lane at Sunday’s NASCAR Sprint Cup Series FedEx 400 Benefiting Autism Speaks at Dover International Speedway. In recognition of Johnson’s fourth series victory this season, Bosch Aftermarket NA is making a $1,000 charitable contribution to the Hendrick Marrow Program, for a total of $5,000 earned by Hendrick Motorsports drivers for this very worthy charity so far this season. To date, Bosch has contributed $11,000 to the charities of its sponsored teams.

The Hendrick Marrow Program mission is to raise money to help cover uninsured costs of transplants through the Hendrick Family Fund for patient assistance, while growing the Be The Match Registry of volunteer donors. Rick Hendrick, owner of Hendrick Motorsports, established the Hendrick Marrow Program of the Be The Match Foundation, operated by the National Marrow Donor Program, after being diagnosed with leukemia in 1997.

“No one tames the Monster Mile like Jimmie Johnson. What a fantastic race to witness Johnson earn his tenth career victory at Dover,” said Tony Pauly, director of advertising and brand management for Bosch Automotive Aftermarket North America. “Bosch is tremendously gratified by the trust so many of the top NASCAR teams place in us to supply parts and systems to power them to the checkered flag.”

Bosch Aftermarket has a long-standing partnership with the NASCAR Sprint Cup Series. Bosch has provided quality parts — such as oxygen sensors, spark plugs, injectors, alternators, coils, filters, fuel pumps, starters and pressure regulators — to multiple NASCAR teams for more than a decade, helping them to numerous appearances in victory lane and seven Sprint Cup Series championships since 2001.
