Bosch Contributes $1,000 To Hendrick Marrow Program

Six-time NASCAR Sprint Cup Series Champion Jimmie Johnson earned his first victory of the 2015 Sprint Cup Season at Sunday’s Folds of Honor QuikTrip 500 at Atlanta Motor Speedway. Johnson raced his Bosch-equipped No. 48 Lowe’s Chevrolet SS to his 71st career Sprint Cup Series victory. For more than a decade Bosch has helped power Hendrick Motorsports to victory lane at stock car racing’s highest level.

In recognition of the win, Bosch Aftermarket NA is donating $1,000 to the Hendrick Marrow Program, which works to raise money to help cover uninsured costs of transplants through the Hendrick Family Fund for patient assistance and add more volunteers to the Be The Match Registry.

Rick Hendrick, owner of Hendrick Motorsports, established the Hendrick Marrow Program of Be The Match Foundation, operated by the National Marrow Donor Program, after being diagnosed with leukemia in 1997.

“Hendrick Motorsports is one of the finest racing organizations in the sport today, and Bosch is proud to support them not only on the racetrack but also in their work to help those in need of lifesaving bone marrow transplants that fight blood cancers like leukemia and lymphoma,” said Tony Pauly, director of advertising and brand management for Bosch Automotive Aftermarket North America.

Bosch Aftermarket has a long-standing partnership with Hendrick Motorsports, including Jimmie Johnson and his teammates Jeff Gordon, Dale Earnhardt Jr. and Kasey Kahne. Bosch has been providing quality parts — such as oxygen sensors, spark plugs, injectors, alternators, coils, filters, fuel pumps, starters and pressure regulators — to the Hendrick Motorsports Teams for more than a decade, helping them to numerous appearances in victory lane, and seven Series Championships since 2001.
