Newly Redesigned Forward Lift CR14 Four-Post Lift Features Higher Rise, Longer Platforms And Greater Durability

ForwardLiftForward Lift has made several upgrades to its 14,000-lb. capacity CR14 four-post lift to improve operator ergonomics and lift durability. The improvements add rise height and include new lifting components and a stronger finish.

“As vehicles evolve, the equipment used to service them must evolve, as well,” says John Uhl, sales and brand manager for Forward Lift. “Forward Lift engineers are always looking for new ways to meet the needs of technicians working on today’s cars, vans and trucks. The redesign of our CR14 four-post lift improves performance, ease-of-use and maintenance.”

The new CR14 four-post lift has a best-in-class maximum rise height of 78.75 inches. The high rise height provides more workspace under the vehicle for technicians.

For improved durability, the redesigned CR14 four-post lift has been fitted with new heavy-duty, high-performance lifting cables and sheaves. The cable system and hydraulic cylinder are conveniently tucked under the runways, which eliminates overhead obstructions while keeping everything easily accessible.

To minimize maintenance needs, each CR14 four-post lift is protected by a strong powder coat finish. The powder coating better protects against corrosion and scratches than standard paint, so the lift stays looking fresh longer.

The CR14 four-post lift is equipped with tracks on its runways that accommodate optional 7,000-lb. capacity rolling bridge jacks. The jacks greatly increase the versatility of the lift by enabling wheels-free tire, brake and suspension work to be completed. Other options for the CR14 four-post lift include a new alignment kit with 4.5 times more balls for more accurate alignments, and easy-to-adjust interlocking platform spacers that accommodate a wide range of wheelbases.

The new CR14 four-post lift is available in two lengths: 250 inches (CR14) and 274 inches (CR14-X with extended runway kit). The additional length provided by the CR14-X extended runway model enables shops to service vehicles with wheelbases up to 206.5 inches.

The CR14 four-post lift has been third-party tested and Automotive Lift Institute (ALI) certified to meet ANSI safety and performance standards.
