Actron Introduces Drain Plug Pro, Saving Hands And Preventing Messy Oil Changes

Actron has released the CP5911 Drain Plug PRO, providing a new hand- and spill-saving tool for use when changing a vehicle's oil. The Drain Plug PRO features a magnetic head for hex and square bolts on a wire cable, capable of unscrewing a vehicle's drain plug and minimizing oil spills while protecting a technician's hands from hot engine oil.

Actron, a leader in automotive diagnostic and repair tools, has released the CP5911 Drain Plug PRO, providing a new hand- and spill-saving tool for use when changing a vehicle’s oil. The Drain Plug PRO features a magnetic head for hex and square bolts on a wire cable, capable of unscrewing a vehicle’s drain plug and minimizing oil spills while protecting a technician’s hands from hot engine oil.

“The Drain Plug PRO is such a simple, versatile and useful tool it belongs in every toolbox,” said Dirk Skogerboe, product manager. “Though designed to safely remove automotive drain plugs, the applications are nearly endless, including anywhere there is a danger of dropping plugs, splatter, drip, or contact with hot oil.”

The Drain Plug PRO’s magnetic head attaches to a vehicle’s loosened drain plug and works like a screwdriver to remove the plug. A lightweight, flexible cable holds the drain plug securely as it is pulled away from the oil stream to reduce splashing and prevent hot oil from burning hands.

Actron’s CP5911 Drain Plug PRO can be found in the oil change tool section of most national automotive retailers.
