Streamlight Introduces Knucklehead Haz-Lo Flood, Spot Lights

Featuring the latest in C4 power LED technology, each light has a 210-degree articulating head that rotates a full 360-degree, and a removable magnet with 135-lb. pull strength that attaches to most contoured steel surfaces.

Streamlight, Inc., has added two new safety-approved models to its family of Knucklehead flashlights, the Knucklehead HAZ-LO Flood and the Knucklehead HAZ-LO Spot lights. Both of the new rechargeable work lights feature a Class 1, Division 1 safety rating.

“The new Knucklehead HAZ-LO Flood and the Knucklehead HAZ-LO Spot lights are safe, powerful handheld lights for personnel who work in potentially explosive or hazardous environments,” said Michael Dineen, Streamlight’s vice president, sales and marketing. “Whether using the flood model for lighting an emergency scene, or the spot version to get more light where you need it, these new lights are the perfect additions to any toolbox of intrinsicially safe equipment.”

Featuring the latest in C4 power LED technology, each light has a 210° articulating head that rotates a full 360°, and a removable magnet with 135-lb. pull strength that attaches to most contoured steel surfaces. Both models are available with either an integrated storable hang hook or clip.

The new lights each offer four microprocessor-controlled modes: high, low, emergency flash, and a moonlight setting. On the high setting, the Knucklehead HAZ-LO Flood delivers 163 lumens, 730 candela, and a run time of 3 hours and 45 minutes; the Spot version delivers 150 lumens on high, 12,900 candela, and a 3-1/2 hour run time. Each light will run continuously for 20 days in moonlight mode and for eight hours on flash mode.

The Knucklehead HAZ-LO Flood model includes two C4 LEDs and a dual wide pattern parabolic reflector that is inset into a larger textured reflector to provide a smooth pattern for close-up work. The Knucklehead HAZ-LO Spot model includes a single parabolic reflector that provides a tighter beam.

Each light operates on a nickel-cadmium 4.8 volt, 1.8 Ah, four-cell sub-C battery that can be recharged up to 1,000 times. The lights are available with steady and fast chargers designed for use with AC or DC power sources. An optional four “AA” alkaline non-rechargeable battery pack also is available, providing a fast and readily available secondary power source when needed between charges. The lights also are available in alkaline battery models that use four “AA” batteries.

Manufactured from high-impact, super-tough nylon, the Knucklehead HAZ-LO Flood and Spot offer exceptional durability. Each light weighs 23.1 ounces and measures 9.2” inches high. They each feature a long-lasting, sonic-welded push-button switch and a rubber dome push-button actuator for easy operation even when wearing heavy gloves.

Both lights are IPX4 rated for water-resistant operation and also are also impact-resistance tested to two meters.

Both lights are available in high visibility yellow or orange and come with Streamlight’s Limited Lifetime Warranty.
