After More Than 40 Years, STA-BIL Brand Debuts New Look

After more than 40 years, STA-BIL, one of the leading brands of fuel stabilizers and ethanol treatments, is introducing a new look and feel to its product line. In recent years, after expanding its line of products to protect and preserve engines of all kinds, STA-BIL is rolling out a fresh, new labeling system designed to help consumers identify and select the right STA-BIL brand products for their dynamic engine needs.

After conducting extensive customer research, the STA-BIL brand designed a new labeling system to create a clear differentiation between its four different formulas of STA-BIL, which include STA-BIL Fuel Stabilizer, STA-BIL Ethanol Fuel Treatment, Marine Formula STA-BIL and Diesel Formula STA-BIL. Each bottle of STA-BIL branded product now features a special ‘signal’ word placed prominently on the label to signify its proper use, including:

• STORAGE – STA-BIL Fuel Stabilizer is designed for use during off-season storage in all vehicles and equipment to protect against gum, varnish formation and corrosion in the fuel lines and engine.

• PROTECTION – STA-BIL Ethanol Fuel Treatment and Stabilizer protects your engines against the harmful effects of ethanol in today’s gasoline and is intended for use at every fill-up in vehicles like your car, truck or motorcycle as well as in small gasoline powered equipment, such as lawnmowers, chainsaws and snow blowers.

• MARINE – Marine Formula STA-BIL Ethanol Fuel Treatment and Stabilizer is intended for use at every fill-up in your boat, jet ski or other marine equipment and contains double the corrosion preventers and more than four times the fuel system cleaner to prevent against corrosion and deposit build-up in sensitive marine engines.

• DIESEL – Diesel Formula STA-BIL keeps diesel fuel fresh, promotes thermal oxidative stability, protects against corrosion and helps remove water from the fuel system to protect and preserve your diesel engine.

“Our new label designs allow us to minimize copy, while maximizing the most important information consumers need to know when selecting a STA-BIL branded product,” said Jennifer Robertson, STA-BIL brand manager at Gold Eagle Co. “We understand customers have choices when shopping, and our new label designs make STA-BIL a quick and obvious choice at the point of purchase.”

In addition to special ‘signal’ words, each product label features a distinct color scheme while maintaining consistent branding with clear usage and benefits copy. The back labels were also improved to feature redesigned product details to address common customer questions and needs, identified through customer research. STA-BIL products will continue to be sold in the company’s proprietary bottle design, which the company developed in-house to meet consumer usage needs.

Available for purchase at retailers nationwide, the new STA-BIL product designs will be rolling out in stores throughout the fall season. For more information on STA-BIL and product availability, visit sta-bil.com.
