Plews & Edelmann Unveil New Packaging For Tru-Flate Air Accessories And Tire Repair Products

Plews & Edelmann recently announced new packaging for Tru-Flate air accessories and tire repair products to resolve purchaser confusion when buying air line couplers and plugs.

Plews & Edelmann recently announced new packaging for Tru-Flate air accessories and tire repair products to resolve purchaser confusion when buying air line couplers and plugs.

After conducting extensive market research, it was found that nearly 60 percent of individuals surveyed in the automotive, residential construction and home remodeling industries were frustrated when purchasing air line couplers and plugs because it can be difficult to match the correct style coupler with the right plug that properly mates with their system.

To avoid this confusion and further aid in the selection, Plews & Edelmann has created a die-cut plug outline in the upper-right corner of Tru-Flate packaging that matches the profile of the coupler in the package. This innovative, patent pending design speeds the purchasing process by allowing customers to easily compare plug profiles and determine if it will mate with their system, ultimately reducing any uncertainties.

“We recognize the frustrations associated with choosing the right coupler and understand that prior package designs have yet to ease this purchasing decision with color codes, test bars and other identification features,” said Wes Sherman, senior product manager for Tru-Flate. “By speaking directly to our customer base, we are confident that this new design will allow customers to easily choose the right part, every time.”

Package graphics have also changed from a softer, cloud-like background to a brighter primary red and blue color scheme to highlight the die-cut corner and heighten shelf appeal.
