PFC (formerly known as Performance Friction) has introduced PFC Corrosion Resistant Protective Coating, a new that prevents rust, peeling, corrosion and is extremely temperature resistant, the company says.

The PFC coating incorporates geopolymer technology for strong protection on all surfaces of the brake pad. According to PFC, under extreme testing procedures, the PFC coating withstands all the elements – including the GM9540P accelerated corrosion testing with extended bakes at 650°F. During testing, PFC Corrosion Resistant Protective Coating also endured a salt spray and a high-temperature exposure test, resulting in absolutely zero coat peeling and minimal to zero rust, with red rust calculated between only 1 – 5 percent, according to PFC.
