The Mac Tools Mac Card program teamed up with Bristol Motor Speedway and Ray Evernham Motorsports for the first-ever Dream Garage Sweepstakes. The contest reached its highly anticipated finale Saturday, August 25 at the Bristol Motor Speedway in Bristol, TN, where one lucky winner received $40,000 worth of Mac Tools product to outfit their “Dream Garage.”

The five semi-finalists: Thomas Gordon from Rochester, NY; Arthur Calder from Elberta, AL; Rick Miller from Oak Forest, IL; Lewis Sullivan from Palestine, TX; and Phillip Hehnlin from St. Louis MI, each received an all-expense-paid, three-night trip for themselves and a guest to the NASCAR Bristol Night Race. During the Sharpie 500 pre-race on Saturday, the contestants gathered at the start/finish line to make their key selection. Phillip Hehnlin had the winning key that unlocked the Mac Tools Truck, making him the winner of the Dream Garage Sweepstakes.

“It got really nerve-wracking when it got down to the last two contestants. My heart was racing,” Hehnlin said. “I couldn’t move my arms and legs when the key turned and the alarm went off. They gave me the microphone as soon as I won, but I was speechless!”

Phillip Hehnlin works at Dynamic Manufacturing in St. Louis, MI. He said that his Mac Tools MB155 Utility Cart purchase on his Mac Card won him a spot in the semifinals and ultimately earned him the grand prize.
