KYB America has announced the publication of a new, comprehensive ride control components catalog. Featuring more than 2,800 items, the 380-page catalog is a complete resource guide for automotive professionals, according to KYB.

As an industry leader in late model vehicle coverage, KYB says it is the only full-line supplier of shocks and struts calibrated and built to restore original vehicle handling and performance.

“It’s of utmost importance that our customers have the part coverage and application listings that will grow their business,” said KYB Product Manager Tim Oldiges. “Each of the over 300 new part numbers required the same countless hours of careful evaluation and testing that goes into every new KYB part. We feel that the new KYB catalog is a tribute to the hard work and determination of our entire product team.”

In addition to the paper catalog, KYB offers up-to-date catalog information via www.kyb.com. There, Internet visitors have the option of viewing an interactive online catalog or a downloadable PDF version.

Curing Shock, Strut and Suspension Noise

As vehicles age, eliminating noise is Job 1. But ‘noise’ may mean different things to you and your customers.

Shocks, struts and springs are the connection between sprung and un-sprung parts of the vehicle. The design is simple, with just a piston traveling in a cylinder full of oil to control the travel of the suspension and movement of the body during weight transfer. If the engineer gets it right, the valves in the piston and base of the shock or strut will be able to keep the tires in contact with the road and the body level under a wide variety of conditions. Unfortunately, the suspension can be damaged, and the shocks and struts will degrade. This can lead to handling issues and noise problems.

High-End Ride Control Rehab
