Federal-Mogul Motorparts Launches Extensive Technical Education And Support Platform For Service Providers

Federal-Mogul Motorparts, a division of Federal-Mogul Holdings Corp., has announced the launch of an extensive new North American technical and product support program to extend its reach to local vehicle service businesses.

The company says its new “Tech First” platform will provide unparalleled technical education and product support to demonstrate the quality, safety and performance advantages of its premium automotive products to repair professionals throughout the United States and Canada.

The new initiatives include:

• Hiring additional in-market ASE-certified Technical Product Specialists (TPS), bringing the number of Motorparts’ field service staff to nearly 150 associates

• Opening Technical Service Centers (TSC) in select metropolitan markets to serve as extensions of the company’s state-of-the-art technical center in St. Louis, Mo.

• Establishing large full-product line distribution centers in Pennsylvania and Southern California to provide wider coverage and faster product availability to customers in those areas

• Expanding its fleet of Web-enabled product support and technical services vans, which will bring training and product support directly to thousands of professional service providers

• Launching a variety of next-generation e-learning resources for all skill levels

“Professional service providers are the auto care industry’s most important consumer touch point, and we are committed to significantly strengthening their connection to our premium products through in-market technical education and product support,” said Daniel Ninivaggi, CEO of Federal-Mogul Motorparts and co-CEO of Federal-Mogul Holdings Corp.

Federal-Mogul says these initiatives will extend the reach of Motorparts’ award-winning Technical Education Center (TEC) in St. Louis by bringing the latest diagnostic information, hands-on training and product support directly to professionals during the workday and after hours.

In addition to these new on-site and online training capabilities, Motorparts will continue to partner with customers in hosting professional service providers at the St. Louis-based TEC, which offers in-depth instruction in state-of-the-art classrooms and fully equipped service bays for hands-on training. All workshops are taught by ASE Master Certified Instructors and meet Continuing Automotive Service Education (CASE) standards.
