Auto Value and Bumper to Bumper parts stores and service centers are promoting National Car Care month and National Breast Cancer Awareness campaigns throughout October.

To reinforce the Be Car Care Aware program, preventive vehicle maintenance is highlighted as a part of the campaign. Auto Value and Bumper to Bumper make it a goal to educate consumers on the importance of regular vehicle maintenance to ensure vehicles are safe and roadworthy. Be Car Care Aware supports this by offering targeted consumer communications through professional service dealers.

Additionally, with one of out of three people being affected by breast cancer in their lifetime, Auto Value and Bumper to Bumper decided to link their efforts with another educational campaign in October – National Breast Cancer Awareness Month.

Partnering with The Breast Cancer Research Foundation (BCRF), Auto Value and Bumper to Bumper businesses will provide basic breast health information at parts stores and certified service centers across the United States and Canada for the entire month. They also will serve as collection points for donations to BCRF through the end of December. Auto Value and Bumper to Bumper said the decision to partner specifically with BCRF was based on the foundation’s sound fiscal responsibility, with more than 90 percent of all donation dollars going directly to research grants and awareness programs.

Launched on Oct. 1, each location is promoting these two programs with a collection method, attention-grabbing posters highlighting the phrase “Help Find a Cure,” paper ribbons to be used when a donation is made, an information sheet to share with customers and a counter mat that reinforces the educational facts. Service center information sheets feature a free 24-point inspection to check customer vehicles with breast health information and information about BCRF on the reverse. Auto Value and Bumper to Bumper parts stores have a similar educational sheet highlighting vehicle maintenance intervals.
