Affinia Global Brake and Chassis, manufacturer of Raybestos brand brake products, is again offering training classes and programs for technicians interested in fine-tuning their craft. More than 8,000 technicians enroll every year in the Affinia Tech Training courses – a program long regarded as one of the most comprehensive training programs in the aftermarket.

Conducted by NATEF-certified instructors, the detailed program includes both Training Center and Field Training courses conducted at Affinia’s McHenry, IL, facility and offers technicians the opportunity to learn the latest industry techniques and developments while providing a chance to re-familiarize with important industry concepts.

All Training modules are accredited courses measurable by an exam that follows training. The Technician Training Program includes course titles such as: Brake Systems Diagnosis & Repair, Chassis and Alignment Diagnostics & Installation Procedures and Fundamentals of Electricity. The Field Training Module course catalog includes offerings such as: Servicing Brakes on ABS Equipped Vehicles Module, Chassis & Suspension Hands-On Module and Chassis & Alignment Diagnostics & Installation Procedures Module.

“By participating in training and certification classes conducted by our NATEF-Certified instructors, companies are doing their part to improve customer satisfaction,” says Wally Marciniak, director of technical services at Affinia Global Brake and Chassis Group. “Installation centers benefit from an educated, rejuvenated work force which leads to fewer service-related failures and happier customers.”

The classroom-style Training Center Courses run from one to four days and range from $120 – $585 in price, including lunch. For companies looking to educate an entire staff, Affinia Field Training Modules cost around $1,300 with unlimited enrollment – fantastic value for a commodity such as module training on state-of-the-art systems and machines.
