The 2010 Dodge Challenger has arrived, and renowned custom-car builder Rich Evans is ready to begin using Mopar parts and accessories to create a one-of-a-kind "Mopar modified" Challenger for the 2010 Specialty Equipment Market Association (SEMA) Show in Las Vegas, NV, Nov. 3-6, 2010.

The 2010 Dodge Challenger has arrived, and renowned custom-car builder Rich Evans is ready to begin using Mopar parts and accessories to create a one-of-a-kind “Mopar modified” Challenger for the 2010 Specialty Equipment Market Association (SEMA) Show in Las Vegas, NV, Nov. 3–6, 2010.

The re-design is set to begin on July 15, 2010. Among the many modification elements, Evans plans to customize the seats, exhaust, wheels, engine, and exterior of the base model Dodge Challenger. The customization will be done using authentic Mopar parts, Rich Evans Exclusive parts, and select aftermarket suppliers. Evans will modify some of the Mopar parts, transforming them into entirely original works of art.

“Now that I have the car sitting in my garage, I can’t wait to dive into this project,” said Evans. “I already have numerous ideas for this car and they just keep building on each other. The end result is going to be truly a one-of-a-kind creation.”

Fans can track Evans’ progress in his bi-weekly blog posted on http://www.mopar.com as well as Evans’ website, http://www.huntingtonbeachbodyworks.com. The build will also be featured in a series of podcast videos documenting the progress of the project on Mopar’s YouTube channel, “Mopar Captured.”

Additionally, Evans will serve as a judge on Mopar’s “Top Eliminator” enthusiast recognition program, which highlights Chrysler, Jeep, Dodge or Ram vehicles which were restyled or customized by Mopar enthusiasts. This year, a new tuner category has been added to the competition, of which Evans will be an official judge.

The tuner “Top Eliminator” winner will be selected from enthusiast nominations based on creatively applying technology to a current-model vehicle while maintaining brand integrity and values. All “Top Eliminator” winners, from the various categories, will be displayed in the Mopar Alley at the 2010 SEMA Show. Enthusiasts can submit entries online at http://www.mopar.com/performance/tuner. The submission deadline is July 30, 2010.
